The prices on their parts for equipment is the same or near the same price as online competitors and much better then the dumbass Havens' at Falls Farm & Failure. The guy who works the desk at Burgoyne is super nice and knowledgeable and has helped me numerous times for nothing. If they got a bad rap for shady business practices I for one haven't seen it yet.
Bought a Ariens Snow blower at Smith's, they matched the big box store price, delivered it to my house for free all fueled, oiled up and ready to go , they took their time explaining how the machine operates and how to maintain it to my Wife. When I got home I noticed the Light was defect so I called and left a message and to my total surprise they knocked on my door the next day, saw the problem and fixed it. No Big box store would ever perform such a CUSTOMMER SERVICE. That is worth 5 stars in my book.
Shop around and you will be rewarded from your own pocket! I was looking for a saw saw ,their store price (more than $400) looked on eebay found same model for $270 (new) (And that was delived to my door without having to pay sales tax!)
I bought a husqvarna chain saw- they didn't tell me of specials which were nationally advertised that saved me a lot of money and included a free case. I had to find out by going on line to the husqvarna site. Bought the chain saw with the promise of the free case from the sales special to me mailed to me when it came in. Over a month later I am still waiting. Called several times, the owner is never there to talk to and the excuse is that he hasn't been able to get to the post office to mail it to me. I feel this is a lame excuse-you can't get to the post office for a month? Please-I know better than that and I know poor customer service when I am gettting it. On the positive side- the seemd knowledgable and friendly when I was buying.
Wanted to have my lawn tractor serviced and got the run around, they just didn't want to do the work. Promised they would call me be never did. I found someone else and will never go back to Smith Equipment.
