Wonderful experience nestled in the heart of Port Jervis, NY. The Erie Hotel and Restaurant has a wonderful old time feel the food was delicious and the wait staff was curtious. If u hear anything other than good reviews than they are just jealous or ex employees!
Was picking my son up from Boy Scout camp in Forestburg, and had to find a close place to stay for just a night. Not much to offer in/around these parts.....BUT, I found the Erie Hotel to be quite adequate and charming..room was small, but very clean. Bed was comfortable and pillows were even good! Live band was playing nice music at the outdoor bar with cold beers and stayed open late....will stay there again as you certainly can't beat it for the price of the room at $74.61!!
everything is good, the ambiance, the meal, the drinks. I find the booths, and tables, to be cozy, I like the pictures on the walls, of the town, in the earky days. I have an enjoyable time each time I dine at the Erie.
Whether it is broiled sea scallops or prime rib, the food here is delightful and plentiful, the ambience of an old railroad town surrounds you, and the service is without fail. Dark and cozy, plus welcoming with friendliness. Prices are moderate and doggie bags are available and necessary.
