On July 30,feeling hungry for Italian food, I decided to go to La Bella's in Greenport. Upon entering I noticed that there were six tables occupied with diners. I waited several minutes to be seated. While waiting I noticed two dumpy women dressed in black talking in a cubby hole near the cash register. Finally, I decided to seat myself as there were many empty tables. As I waited both dumps passed by and glared at me. Finally I got up and left. When I related my story to the manager he accused me of being unfair because they were very busy that night and I should have been able to wait a SECOND to be seated. I asked him for the name of the owner and he said he didn't know who it was. It is obvious that this manager(?) is the problem. I will never enter the place again!
It's just okay. The problem is it is not consistent. One time it is good. The next nothing seems fresh and you want to walk out. We have stopped going there. There are too many great restaurants on Warren Street in Hudson. Right down the road.
Labella's pizza used to be the best. It has gone downhill in recent months. I don't know if it is inconsistent workers or what. The cheese, crust, flavor, you name it, it is not the same. nice restaurant, but poor pizza. Prices have gone through the roof also.
We often eat at LaBella's in Hudson, NY. It's a family style Italian restaurant with really good food and good variety. They've recently remodeled the place and it's quite nice too. Food's great and the service is good. We should all go there sometime!
