The prices went up dramatically in January. It used to cost $ 6.95 for a veal parm hero - now its $9.95 ??? Not worth it! Also . . . the veal was very tough the last (& I mean last) 2 times I went to muscoot. The place could be a lot cleaner. I'm going to take my business somewhere else! Mary, the bartender is delightful!
Sorry to disagree with the other reviewers but my first expierence at the Muscoot North was not good. To begin with I thought the prices were high. The red sauce tasted like something from a jar. The meatballs and sausage weren't cooked. The tables and chairs were in terrible shape. Despite this I went back a second time, only to realize my first expierence was the norm. Do yourself a favor, when driving on the Taconic, drive by the Muscoot North.
Not only is Muscoot an excellent restaurant with awesome seafood (Shrimp Nantucket is a must!) and Italian dishes, but they have the best pizza here too! The crust is super thin and crispy and the pepperoni and sausage are the best I've had. The blue cheese dressing on their salads is delish. A tiny little place, that's always packed, super friendly.....you must try!!!
I've eaten here quite a lot. It great food, all home made. ( from what I understand ) The staff is great, the service is good and the prices are reasonable. If your not in the mood for the Italian or seafood try there Philidelphia Cheese Steak hero with fries! This resturant also has a lot of young families. * there special board is always worth looking at!
The best seafood scampi and deep fried seafood north of City Island in the Bronx. Specials from the Land, the Sea and Italy.
The Ladies at Muscoot always welcome you with warmth and hospitality.
Don't Drive by with out stopping, and children are always welcome.
