D' Raymonds is a family-run Italian restaurant located on Osborne Road, just two miles off Wolf Road. D' Raymonds has intimate seating, brick walls with mural windows, dim lighting and wood beams that give a touch of old-world charm. While the interior is inviting, the meals are the real stars. D' Raymond's is known for it's sauces, veal, pasta and fresh seafood. No other restaurant in the region boasts as much variety and skill when preparing these dishes. All ingredients are fresh and each dish is made to order.Gregory P. Crodelle, chef and owner of the restaurant, prepares these delectable dishes six days a week. After thirty years, D' Raymond's is still one of the most sought after dining destinations in the Capital District. Reservations are highly recommended.
On June 29, 2008 we had a very sad situation also with the hostess at this restaurant without going into details - I too would not return to the restaurant because of her lack of tack that she shows. The food was great but the service was abrupt and the hostess is the one reason I will not return nor suggest this restaurant to any of my friends or family - Our reservations were completely ignored and we waited more than 45 min.'s to be seated. Very very disappointed in her professionalism
we had made reservations a week in advance we didn't get seated until 1.5 hrs later the hostess kept ignoring us. The waitress was very racist mocking my husband and acted like we were bothering her and we decided to leave with our company.. The waitress wasn't very remorseful she said she is sorry we felt that way.. No apologizes for her behavior. Then we wrote a letter to management to notify them of the way we were treated and never received a response. We will never go there again and our friends will not go back because of the mistreatment. I will continue to tell everyone of the poor service.
I have been here many times. Their red sauce is fantastic, as well as steaks, and anything from the menu. The penne pasta w/ sausage in a vodka cream sauce is one of my favorites. I have also many times just taken a chance and gotten one of their imaginative and unusual appetizer or entree specials that day - and have never been disappointed. Definitely my favorite restaurant - they know how to make excellent food!
