The best italian resturant in the capital region. not expensive. good waiters. good food & drink.

WORST EVER!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! Visiting family from Fort Lauderdale, FL and wanted to have a nice dinner with my family. My dad recommended this place. We made a dinner reservation for 7:30pm on a Thursday night for five. Once sat right away waited 10 minutes for drink order. Once the wine showed up we ordered apps, salad and entree. Apps took 45 minutes. Salads 30 minutes. The place was half full and at 9:00pm, two bottles of wine later the entrees still had not been served. We had to ask for our food at a restaurant. Told it would be up several times and food never came. Finally we left. Even for Albany this was the worst service ever. We were told everything was backed up because of a party of 30 upstairs. I'm in the hospitality business and would never let a party of 30 order off the menu. They would have a pre fixed one or I would bring extra cooks in to balance out the dining room. Worst thing is even after stating how bad everything is we asked for the bill and were charged full price for everything we had up into that point with nothing taken off for the fact that food had not come in almost 2 hrs. I know good restaurants are hard to come by in this area but whatever you do, do not go here. You will regret every moment of the experience.

Food? Good. Atmosphere? lots. Hang out here for a real classy time. Low key, but you get to rub elbows with Albany bigshots. The service here is outstanding. There is a feeling of history within the walls of this place. Bring your family, or your date, and you will impress.

It puts you in a BAD MOOD EVEN BEFOREyou eat to have to wait so long to get served.You definitly can not be hungry when you go there cause it takes so long to get served that we started to eat all the bread just to hold us over and had to order more to satisfy our hunger.By the time we did eat we were no longer hungry.The price made me think i was in N.Y. city.I must say tho that the bread was excelent.

Service was very slow. I understand that on weekends it gets busy but 20 minutes for a coke, there is no excuse for that. We also had a reservation and they still couldn't get us in for another 15-20 minutes. We had our son with us and I am sure everyone knows that it makes waiting for even such a small amount of time hard. The fod was mild.... The oil sauces were great, the pasta was good but some of the fish was overly fishy.. I could barely eat mine because the smell made my stomach ache. Overall we weren't very impressed this time around. Hopefully next time we good things will be better.
