We've been regulars here for several years - the owners & other staff treat us like family, and strangers are welcomed friends.
You can't beat the food - flavor and portions are all A+ - and, you may not know this, but the owners make the dessert pies themselves! A good variety, and amply sized slices! Altogether great food for the money.
Don't let the 'greasy spoon' environment throw you - we've never had a tummy ache after eating here. This place is like going home to Ma's kitchen . . .we love it!
My girlfriend and I checked this place out today. We love it! The sausage cheeseburger was a surprise...we expected it to be just an Italian sausage patty with cheese, but that was just the beginning: it was on top of a hamburger patty that was also topped with cheese, and the sausage patty tasted more like breakfast sausage! It was very yummy. The hot dogs with meat sauce, relish, and onions were also different. Never thought of using relish with meat sauce, but it works nicely. We were impressed with the ambiance and the creativity of the menu items before we tasted our food, but the taste was even better than we could have hoped for.
We came out here from Little Falls to check out a few hot dogs places, and this diner wasn't even on our list. Hot Dog Hut Cafe just happened to be closed, so we decided to check out Miss Johnstown Diner. We're glad we did.
On our way out, we asked what their hours are so we can plan return visits, and a feather could have knocked us over when the waitress told us they are ALWAYS open and you can get any menu item any time of day. I felt like I found heaven on earth. Woohoo!
Now, the tough part will be figuring out how we will be able to have some of the foods we already like AND try the other yummy-looking items on the menu. I wish I had this kind of problem more often!
This is one of my favorite places to go. I've eaten every meal from Breakfast to dinner here and it's all good. I used to be a Thursday morning regular and the waitresses and cooks were always so welcoming. Even though the place looks a bit run down the food and service is great! I've never had a complaint! ;) I would recommend it to anyone!
I have placed 2 orders for pick up BOTH times, MY food was wrong and Terrible service BECAUSE of there MISTAKES...everyone makes mistakes BUT attitude because U were advised about what happen is NO EXCUSE, I didnt complain when I got home and there was GRAVY all over my containers food and what a mess it was, anyways YES THERE food is absoulety marvoulous BUT the service that went along with it was bull shit!!! thanks guys!
Taunting ptomaine in style! This little yellow run down dive may be the sketchiest looking place in four counties but don’t let that dissuade you; this place is an absolute treasure trove of flavor. My Brother Paul’s culinary contribution to Johnstown “The Sausage Cheeseburger on French toast” is an absolute must,I like to drown it in maple syrup. Their cook made this sandwich so yummy, words cannot adequately communicate its savor. Miss Johnstown never closes, so you can go there whether you’re hungry after Sunday mass or famished after a 4 am bender. Their Prices are incredibly inexpensive and they’re willing to cook anything you want, on or off the menu. Miss Johnstown always satisfies.....5 Stars, without a doubt.
This is a true greasy spoon. I love this place the food is always good and cheap. You can go there at 12 noon or 12 midnight and always get good food and service. They will even make a hamburger with sausage patty on French toast, dip it in syrup and it is like heaven. I have never had a bad experience here. It is a true diner.
