Bosco's Restaurant & Bar, Amsterdam

Excellent place! So far everything I had is good. The only thing I noticed is antipasto is missing items, the last couple of times ordered and they forget to bring the bread.

The food at Bosco s is fantastic. The service is probably the worst I have ever had. The waitress acted like she was annoyed at our being there and sat us at our table and just walked away. After 10 minutes of waiting for her to take our drink order I went up to the bar to ask and there she sat, drinking a beer. She was very unpleasant to us the entire evening. Another time I ordered out from the since the service was so bad and when I got there to pick up my order, the waitress went back to the kitchen to get bring us our food. She came out and told us we never called and ordered and it must have been someplace else. At this point I became very irritated and insisted I did order. She started to raise her voice and someone yelled from the kitchen they found our order. She brought our food out and tossed our calzone box up on the counter. We paid and left. When I got home I opened the box and cut into a calzone and there was a hair in it.

I have to say in my 37 years living in Amsterdam and eating in every place there is in town THIS IS THE PLACE FOR A CALZON!!! There is no other in or near as good as BOSCO'S!!!!

I've dined in over 40 states and prefer Italian food when possible. NOBODY ... has better calzone than Bosco's ... NOBODY. The quality is excellent and the prices are surprisingly LOW. Wish I could make this 6 or 7 stars to offset anyone who ranks it less than 5 stars! My mother was an Amsterdamian, but I now live in Michigan. Every chance I get, I stop at Bosco's for dinner ... and have recommended this place to everyone I know who might be travelling in the Amsterdam area. Truly worth driving to eat there, even if it's a bit out of your way! Only 5 or 6 minutes from the Thruway, so GO & ENJOY!

this place is great we love it ! great food reasonable price... good service.... cant complain ..it is never empty that is usually a prety good hint that people enjoy it.

OK, nothing fancy here, BUT get the calzone, and I guarantee you'll become a Bosco fan big time! It is the best ever!

No bar/restaurant in Amsterdam that's been around as long as Bosco's should rate less than 4 stars. Also, Bosco's is one of the premier bar/restaurant experiences in Amsterdam. I live overseas now and visit Amsterdam every other year for a few days. I make a point of having a meal at Bosco's (or another one of three other bar/restaurants in town.) The ambiance is Amsterdamian, the service is family friendly, the value is as good as any Amsterdam-class restaurant in town and the food is great. You'll find none better in bar/restaurants in Upstate NY than Bosco's. They'll be slightly different, but not better.
