Sunset Beach Restaurant & Bar, Shelter Island

I had the pleasure of visiting the Sunset bar & restaurant about 3 or 4 times, the island atmosphere is awesome either for dinner, lunch, or for just a few cocktails. But if you are planning on dining there, expect long wait of at least an 1 hour to 2 hours, then at least 40 mins to 1 hr intervals between courses. The servings are miniscule to small, and the service very slow, I had to return a dish of two for not being up to my expectations, for ie when ordered a shell steak medium rare it was served well done. For the best restaurant on the island, try the Chequit Inn for delicious food, cocktails, and a good time.
