We drive 1/2 hr - 45 minutes just to get there every Saturday, and I order 2 double-doubles, 1 small fries, and a small chocolate shake. Most people eat in their cars. There are only like 4 outdoor tables, and they are usually taken up. But it's fun to sit in your car and eat and watch other people eat. Food is love. The line goes super fast. Even when it's crowded, you can get in and out within 5 minutes. So worth the trip. Super low prices. Me and my husband eat for less than $13.00 all total.
Best burger and fries joint, ever! I used to go here when I was a kid, and now I take my daughter. She loves it here, and always gets a hotdog with fries and a chocolate shake. I love the 1/4 with cheese. You won't be disappointed! :)
I've been eating All American since it opened, and I'm gonna be 49 years old. When I want home cooking, this is where I go. When mom did not want to cook, she would pile us in the car and drive a few blocks up and we would sit in the red Rambler, blue Scamp or big station wagon, (whichever car at the time) and eat our hamburgers, shrimp rolls (not on the menu no more) and of course their delicious fries, which cannot be compared. Today no trip back to Massapequa is complete without at least one trip to All American. My favorite is a quarter pounder extra pickles, with a small fry and a chocolate shake...yum!
A better way to eat than McD's, I'm Loving It.....LOL. All American is a great spot to get some burgers, fries and a shake and it's cheap. They also have Hot Dogs and fish sandwiches, Knishes, and tuna salad on a bun. The food is always fresh and made to order. They have window service only (no drive thru) and outside they have a few tables. The staff are friendly and polite. The place is always packed, even in the snow. Yes, the lines are long, but the wait is short. A little bit of nostalgia on Long Island's South Shore. Great for tourists and locals alike.
Excellent food, I live close enough that I can walk over. At first I was surprised at how well known it is, (apparently voted best burgers in North America by several well known magazines) but considering the food, now I'm surprised they're not MORE well known.
A definite must have if you're on the island
A friend from Massapequa insisted we eat here while on Long Island. It was definitely worth the trip from our hotel. It brought back childhood memories of similar places in Upstate New York. My husband and I each order the quarter pounder with cheese and french fries. Delicious! Thanks for the tip, Murray!
