Decor is appropriate. There are HD televisions up high for the sports enthusiast but the sound was turned down so they weren't intrusive. I had the $35 prix fixe (there are three chicken entrees in the high teens - everything else is over $20). Service was well executed but a tad slow given that this was a Sunday evening and the place was by no means crowded. I had a caesar's salad (tasted like standard bottle dressing but looked OK). As a main course I had a peppercorn rib-eye - comes garnished with a large half tomato with some kind of breaded top and one side (I had creamed spinach). The steak was excellent - cooked perfectly and delicious. Only problem I had was there was quite a lot of fat - more than I wanted to eat but not readily identifiable because of the peppercorn. Creamed spinach ? well, what can you do with creamed spinach ? tasted OK to me without stopping the traffic. I had a glass of house Merlot with the meal - again nothing special nor was anything special expected. When the bill came it was $45 (oh yes - I had a decafe coffee). Overall, I've got to say that steak really was pretty good so I was not that upset about the price, but I don't think its a place I would eat every day.
Frank's is an All American Steakhouse that you'll vist more than once if you like really good steaks, to die for creamed spinach, artwork on the walls that customers have created on their paper table cloths, and a noisey bustling atmosphere with lots of people obviously happy to be there. It gets busy, though, so get there early!
