Cafe Manolín, San Juan Antiguo

The food taste, appearance and temperature was excellent! Our waiter, Jess made recommendations and allowed us to sample them? He is one of the best waiter that I have experienced! The prices and portion sizes were outstanding! it was my favorite meal after dining out for 9 days in Puerto Rico! It is a must see and must eat experience for locals and tourists!

My husband and I had lunch here on a trip to San Juan. We were trying to avoid the tourist traps and this place seemed to have a more local vibe than any of the other restaurants around the area. Our waiter was great-he recommended the special, pastelon (which he described as "Puerto Rican lasagna") so I ordered it and loved it! My husband had the fried pork and loved it as well. The service was excellent, the ambiance was casual and low-key. If we ever make it to Old San Juan again, we will definitely go back!

Manolín has the best Puerto Rican food you can get. I am a regular because they have exceptoinal quality with a true home made taste and at affordable prices. A wonderful example of our traditional "fondas". Don't miss it if you visit Old San Juan.

I have been going to Cafe Manolin since I was a child and they were in their old location. I now have lived in Florida for the last 20 years. I took my husband, who is colombian, to Puerto rico for the first time and he loved the food at Cafe Manolin so much that we ate lunch there everyday of our stay. The Mofongo, the Arroz con Gandules, the coffee and the desserts are excellent and truly puertorrican. Oh, and the service is superb. I was so happy and proud to share with my husband this hidden treasure in Old San Juan.

We can not wait to come back the food is Delicious the best in all of San Juan the best in all of Puerto Rico.The service is excellent the atmosphere supherb and the Hostess Giovana is delightfull.Try the Mofungo you will not be dissapointed.Ciao!we will definitely see you soon.Javier the propietor is savy and seasoned you can see it in how he cooks and how he treats his customers,everything about the cafe Manolin is excellent********************************************************************************

The food was delicious, everything was perfect. The prices are very good, great if you are inviting a bunch of people!!!!! or just your family. Cant wait to go back,,, make sure to try the Mofongo and dont forgett the Flan!!!

I am from Puerto Rico and in Old San Juan it is hard to find "true" puerto rican food that isn't americanized. This place is fast passed but the food is excellent, the price is very cheap and you get a lot for what you pay. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. We went everyday on our honeymoon. The food was just amazing!!!
