Aria Restaurant, Sydney

I've been to Aria three times and it never disappoints. Views of the harbour, opera house, and bridge are spectacular. Service is unsurpassed. The food is creative, always delicious (even if it is something you don't think you like), always beautifully presented. And I like the fact that they try to use native Australian seafood and produce in season. Reservations a must especially if you are attending an event at the Opera House. It's expensive but worth it - and it's still cheaper than any comparable restaurant in NYC.

Great location and views, we had a very clear view through to the opera house but couldn't see the bridge. We had requested a window seat 6 weeks out but unfortunately one was not available on the night, but those that were sitting in the prime seats were obviously well known to the wait staff. After a wait for the table we were seated and had to wait some time for someone to bring menus and advise of the specials. We had a very nice waiter at this time but he seemed to be an exception on the evening. The food is not that good value for money and we were both disappointed with the meal as our expectations were high. The meal was equivalent to that of many mid priced Melbourne restaurants. Wouldn't bother trying this a second time.
