This is about the best neighborhood secret. Ambience is couples-friendly and family-friendly. We have had birthday parties for 35 here and everyone has enjoyed the service, the food and the intimate feeling. Brother Paolo, the chef never fails to please with quality and generous portions. Brother Rocky handles the front of the house with continental aplomb! Dad still graces the kitchen with his culinary expertise when he is available. He and Mom Elisa established this loving trattoria and the boys have maintained their folk's committment to their clientele. Once in a while we are honored by being greeted by Elisa herself. Servers Fernando, Linda and their colleagues do a wonderful job of timely delivery of drinks and food to their diners.
I'm not a relative ... just a customer, as is my entire extended family and many of our friends.
My favorite is the Fusilli Mare e Monte !!!, but everything is great!!
Stan and Dania
One of our favorite restaurants, had my son's communion, my sisters baby shower there and spend all of our special occasions there. The food is great, big portions and great service. Thanks for many great memories.
Elisa's is a great place -- and I'm glad some perceive it as not family-friendly, as I don't want to have kids running all over the place and babies crying when their parents should have sprung for a sitter anyway. This place is for grown ups and well behaved OLDER children.
The food is terrific, very reasonable in comparison to other similar eateries and the portions are generous. We've taken foodie friends from Yountville, California to Elisa's (French Laundry, etc.) and they LOVE this little neighborhood gem. The soup specials are always worth trying - and there are generous pours on the house wines for those who enjoy a glass with dinner.
I moved to the neighborhood five years ago and frequent this place at least once or twice a month.
GOOD ITALIAN FOOD, SERVICE IS GOOD, AFTER WE GOT THE BILL, WE KNEW WE WOULD NOT RETURN, TOO SOON. NOT TOO GOOD FOR CHILDREN, DOES NOT HAVE A CHILDRENS MENU, AND REMEMBER THIS IS A NEIGHBORHOOD PLACE, IT SHOULD BE MORE ACCOMODATING FOR FAMILIES.
Good food, well prepared. This is the only restaurant I've gone to (locally or in NYC), where I was charged for a refill of ice tea. The bill is the last impression of a restaurant and as a I result my family has not returned.
Located within The Mark Hotel, this quiet, elegant and sophisticated restaurant offers refuge from the busy world outside. It features
solicitous service, great ambiance and fine wines, not to mention the outstanding food. The French American cuisine here includes ...
Our story began in 1940, on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage, Long Island, which at the time was primarily farmland. It
was on a cool fall Saturday in November that our grandfather opened his small retail store selling fresh turkeys ...
