NO STARS! Short staffed, took forever to get our food. They left our plates from the appetizers on the table for a long time. They brought my toddler a full sized burger and didn't offer to adjust the check. They forgot my dinner and when I got it after the rest of my party finished their's, my shrimp scampi had huge garlic chunks. The waiter never came back to see how we were. My husband had to go to the bar to get our check. And the best part was the manager sat at the bar and saw everything happen. No one apologized for our wait, for screwing up the order or for the all around lousy service. Don't go unless you like overpriced, just ok food, with lousy service.
Awful!!! Where do I start...We were seated upstairs and yes the view is nice but the room itself is so outdated...They ran out of lobster, they gave us stale old bread and when we saw other people with what looked like better bread we asked for it and they said they ran out of bread...asked for water and served it to us in plastic cups because they said they ran out of glasses...ordered buffalo wings and they were raw inside!!! I mean blood juice inside raw!!! ordered soup and tasted like campbell's can soup...the ceaser sald was as plain and bland as it gets not to mention small portion...steak sandwhich consisted of four small tiny pieces of steak with several pieces of red pepper on it...not kidding there was really no meat on the steak sandwhich...to top it off the service was awful...waited forever for appetizers and then for dinner...rest of customers were also complaining....we overheard a customer order shrimp scampi and when she received it she asked if she got the right dish because she realized there was no garlic and the waiter said the scampi was made without garlic...other customers waited two hours for their food and finally told the waiter that they were going to leave....overall I would say it was awful in ever single way.
Personal and professional- the newly renovated party room was gorgeous and the service was beyond measure. Unique ambiance, great food and a trained staff, run by a hands-on maitre d' who misses NO detail. They gave us a a five star party that will be remembered on two continents. Thank you all.
The Breakers in Bayville is the best kept secret on Long Island.
The food is excellent, very reasonably priced and the service is friendly and prompt. They have Terrific Weekly Specials and the $10.95 Lobster on Wednesday and Thursday is the best you'll find anywhere. They even have live music three nights a week! Can't say enough!
FOR THE MONEY, IN THE OFF SEASON, NOTHING BEATS THE BREAKERS.FOOD IS GREAT, SERVICE IS GREAT,THE VIEW IS GREAT AND THE PRICES ARE RIGHT..IN THE SUMMER, A BIT PRICY, BUT YOU HAVE TO EXPECT THAT IN BAYVILLE, ESPECIALLY OVERLOOKING THE WATER....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT...A GREAT PLACE...
