Twenty years ago Mamma Gina came to Long Island to open her first restarant with her family. Mamma Gina's roots go back to a little town called Monte Di Procida in Naples, Italy where she would have cook outs for her family and friends on her farm. Her passion and tradition live on with Mamma Gina's recipes. Mamma Gina's customers know, once you have tried Mamma Gina's cooking, you're hooked for life.
Since moving to East Meadow 3 years ago, my husband and I have been searching for good pizza in the area. Unfortunately, twenty pizzas and several months later, we gave up and have been driving 25 minutes to our favorite places on the island...until now. Although Mama Gina's doesn't beat our favorites, it is VERY good and we are thrilled have finally found our new pizzeria. We are very picky about sauce on pizza and found Mama Gina's to be delicious and not overpowering. The cheese tasted fresh and the crust was crunchy on the outside but a little chewy on the inside - just way we like it! We ordered the pizza for delivery and our pizza was piping hot when it arrived less than 30 minutes later. Thank you Mama Gina's!
This is a great little neighborhood restaurant. It's the kind of place that you find old friends meeting up for their weekly get togethers and families dining. The pizza is awesome, serving anything from eggplant parm pizza to your standard slice. They also serve italian dishes that are great. I could eat there everyday and never tire of it.
