I was here on opening day well over 30yrs ago,While in JHS &HS I had to have eaten here almost daily!!!! I've traveled the globe and can honestly say Margheritas Pizza's the best Pizza that I've EVER had!!!!
I have always eaten Gino's pizza. My son introduced me to Margherita two years ago and I must say it is better than gino's. Anytime I go to Jamaica Avenue, I make sure I get a slice. It is $2.75 a slice, but well worth it.
Margharita's pizza on Jamaica Ave is reminiscent of the New York Style pizza from the 70's. Real cheese (that stretches when bitten into), thin/crispy crust and sweet tomato sauce. You can tell that they do not skimp on quality ingredients. I live in NC now, but wish I had access to this pizza. I'm even thinking of flying up to NYC just for a slice:o)
I love their pizza I moved out of NY in 1995 and every time I go home I get a pie to take home. I freeze it so when I want a piece I just pop in the oven and heat it up. I just sent my niece today so my son bring home to Atlanta.
The Best Pizza in New York. They have been around forever. I travel all the way from Long Island just to get this Pizza and always worth the trip they need to open another one in Long Island. THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST
