Very expensive restaurant for mediocre tasting Jamaican food, I ve had better tasting Jamaican dishes for less money? Try Footprints restaurant in Brooklyn instead

Been going here for almost 10 years, and I must say the service has gone down alot! The hostesses in front stand up gossiping about incoming customers instead of taking care of them...terrible service! i didn t even stay long enough to get seated!

The Door is just the Best. Finger licking good. I have dined at The Door several times and have always been satisfied- whether, the Sunday or Thursday Buffet; a sit down dinner for two, or a group; or a Takeout, the food is just good. I have had chicken of various flavors and styles - Jerk, curry, stew; fish, well, I am very partial to the 'roast fish' but its all nice. There is something for everyone. Service is also exceptional. Well trained and professional staff. And the price is just right. Once you try The Door, you can't help going back. Highly recommended. Keep up the GOOD WORK.

I live in close proximty to the Door- The decor is excellent. The inservice has fallen, the food use to be better when they started business, space is very tight, cant wait for them to move across the street. Owners are Jamaican (like myself) and very down to earth, I support my countrymen for trying. The take out is slow, but it is best to call in your order it sure will be ready when one reaches. I love the banana porridge on Saurdays. Hope they try to keep up their service as there is a competitor around the corner who are just as good and have bigger space- Laten's
