I went with a high expectation and left feeling cheated. The Pizza was so-so, the wait was horrible (3 hours versus everyone else's 1 hour) and $20 for that was waaaaaaaay overpriced.

Di Fara has a good slice, better than average. Dom has been there for what seems to be forever. The place has not changed much from when I was a kid. Dom has a GREAT sauce! The worst part about Di Fara is it's terribly dirty. I haven't been there since the numerous health department closings, but the only constant over the decades that I've know this place is the sauce is great, Dom is the nicest of individuals, but his place is filthy. There are lines, 1 slice easy 30 minute wait. - Calling ahead also doesn;t help, it's still an hour wait for call ins. Dom's legacy is the fact that he's been there for so long, and so many pizza places have been sold or are now run by non italians, Dom is authentic and attracts MANY tourists. DiFara get's good press,which drives people to his door step to try his food, even when they were shut down for D.O.H violations, The press made him out to be a victim...

Long, Long, Long, slow lines...hour wait to the counter on a good day. Watching Dominic make pizza is like watching an artist paint. After all is said and done you will never eat a square slice anywhere else but here! 100% The Best. Worth the trip from anywhere! Mouth waters just thinking about it!

This is by far the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!!! Dont go there hungry, because you will wait a while for Dominick (must be 70 years old) to nead the doe individually, they dont premake the dough. Once that is complete he uses san marzano tomatoes, imported mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and basil, to create a spectacular delight. He doesnt use a Pizza Spatula to turn or take the pizza out of the oven, he uses his 70+ year old hands (OUCH) Once out of the oven another splash of extra virgin olive oil and he grated fresh parmigiana reggianno on the pie. I am surprised he makes money on these pies. Maybe its just for the love of pizza from the old world. This place is a keeper!!!

This is how a pizza was served in Italy 50 years ago. This place may not be the cleanest ...was not painted in years but when it comes to pizza they are THE BEST Always fresh, no reheated slices, so what if you have to wait 40 minutes for a pie.
