My family and i have been going to Crabtrees for over 20 years, and always enjoyed the dining. Well nothing last forever. Last night my family and I went fro a special celebration. The hostess looked at us and walked away. The owner took our coats but the busboy had to retrieve them. I had the Taso shrimp which is listed on the menu as a seafood signature dish. I was RIPPED OFF. I paid $17 for three small shrimp on top of linguine. The sauce was sparce and too salty. There was supposed to be ham in the dish but I only found a few small pieces. What happened to the veal marsala which was reviewed by the Times and helped to give Crabtrees it reputation - it is no longer on the menu. My guest had chicken which was burnt and dried out. The prices have goneway up and the quality way down. IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON. Will not be back. Very disappointed.
Yianni knows how to consistently provide excellent food with generous portions, all in a romantic atmosphere.
Try the outdoor patio in season. Really worth it!
You'll be spoiled....perfect for a date or family gathering.
