Where do I start. The place looks 1/2 empty and the owner tells us that he has no menu s to give us because they are all out. Our waiter, then comes over and asks us if we want appetizers. Hard to know if I want one or not without a menu. It took 30 minutes for the appetizers to come out. Another 15 minutes after that for our salads to hit the table. So within the first 45 minutes, we had 3 appetizers and salads. Our main course did not arrive until an hour later. My wife made me put my phone away when I was about you call for pizza delivery. I had a fish dish and not only was overcooked, my appetizer was larger than the fish. By the way each time you ask for a refill of soda, they charged you. Poor customer service, poor service in general. just plain horrible. The only reason why all of even stayed was they were having two comedians perform at 9 pm. They also had a magician perform. He did some great disappearing acts. Now he is there then you didn t see him for 20 minutes. Wait, that was our waiter. Would I recommend going back there for dinner- heck no. Would I recommend going back there for the comedians yes and just order their weak coffee. That only took 10 minutes to get.
Great neighborhood Italian restaurant. Very nice wine list and dinner menu. Busy bar on weekends and great entertainment if you watch there website, you can see when and what events are happening. Comedy nights are great!
Friends from the office took me to Bocci's for my birthday dinner and what a wonderful experience it was. The homemade rolls are to die for. The branzini was excellent as were the assortment of appetizers on the table. The owner came to the table with complementary Sambuca for our espresso. From start to finish the food was delicious with warm and friendly service. I will drive the 40 minutes more often to dine here.
Went to a Retirement Party and found the service lacking. There was one roll on the table for each person. No one came over to ask if we wanted more when they were gone. Also, there was a pitcher of water on the table. Again, no one came over to refill the pitcher when it was empty.
Lastly, when it was time for Cake and Coffee there weren't enought coffee cups for everyone on the table. I had to wait while the waitress searched for a spare cup. Meanwhile, everyone else at the table was having cake and coffee. After about 10 minutes the waitress took a dirty cup from our table and went to wash it to give to me.
Food was OK but service was lacking.
I brought my family to Bocci's for Mother's Day. The buffet was overpriced for the quality of the food(over $30 per person). The selection was very limited. Pasta, chicken, ham, riceballs, oily pasta salad, lasagna, meatballs, tilapia, fatty prime rib on a carving board. The desserts were ok. The tiramisu was tasty, but the chocolate covered strawberries were soggy. Most of the food was cold. The restaurant smells unpleasant, like sewage. There was a musician playing jazz guitar, which was nice. Overall, the food was unimpressive. The building is quaint, but smells musty. The service was average. I wouldn't reccommend this restaurant. At least not for a buffet.
We spent this Valentine's at Bocci's and oh my gosh was it *divine*. Upon enter the door, the smells hit you like there has been some Italian grandmother slaving away in the kitchen all day. Its so charming and personable there, you feel like you are eating in someone's dining room rather than a restaurant. The staff is so attentive and helpful. Our waitress recommened the chicken noodle soup and it was like nothing I've ever had before. Heavenly is not even close to describing the food. The sauce...forget about it. You'll never come close to making anything this perfect. Its not fancy, its not chunky or spicy...its great. Be prepared for large portions too! My chicken parm could have easily fed two people! Its just wonderful there and we will be back again for our anniversary here soon in May. From date night to family night out, Bocci is the perfect choice.
We got married in Jamaica and had a wedding luncheon here for almost 90 people. Neil stayed late the night before, helping us decorate the room and ensuring all the tables were in order. During the luncheon he asked my husband and I several times if all was going well. Any requests I had were taken care of within minutes. The 4 wait staff for our party were all courteous and efficient. All the guests came up and complimented us on the food and how nice the room looked. I come from a huge italian family and they are still raving about their meals (especially the tiramasu) and cannot wait to visit Bocci's again. Thank you, Neil and all your great staff for making our party fabulous!!!
