Can't wait to go back!

What a wonderful experience! I live in Manhattan and decided to take advantage of this past three-day weekend and get out of the city. Due to the economy, I decided to not fly anywhere. Instead I opted to go online and search for places within a two-hour commute of my home. I happened upon a little B&B in nearby Garrison. Transportation was less than a daily cab ride ($21.00 round-trip on Metro-North). The General Manager, Andrea, was very gracious and arranged for one of her employees to pick me up from the train station. From my first encounter with the driver to the entire rest of the staff, everyone involved with the Bird and Bottle Inn made me feel like I was the most important person on the planet. My room was impeccably clean. The attention to detail so pronounced I felt as though I were in my grandmother’s home. I began my next morning sipping coffee in the gazebo surrounded by the beauty of the snow. No traffic, no noise, only the sound of the babbling brook which flows through the property and the occasional chirping of birds. My visit to the Bird and Bottle Inn was exactly the mini-vacation I needed. Oh, did I mention the food is fabulous?
