This waterfront seafood restaurant has been around for quite a while, and it continues to offer good food and service. The decor of the dining room is pleasant, but your eyes will be drawn to the gorgeous views of Long Island Sound. Lobster Bisque, Lobster Ravioli, Steak and Lobster, Roe-filled Lobster and Whole Lobster are usually on the menu. Also choose from Salmon, Calamari, Crab Legs and other dishes. Cheesecake is a popular dessert. Jazz is performed live on Friday nights.
FOOD AND SERVICE TOPNOTCH ! 110 PERCENT ! I WOULD REVISIT IN A NEW YORK MINUTE ! THEY EVEN PROVIDED EXTRA TOUCHES. BROUGHT ME A PIECE OF CAKE (IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY) AND SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. WHEN WE BOOKED RESERVATIONS THEY EVEN GAVE US DETAILED DIRECTIONS.
The Lobster Box is more than I could have imagined, first of all the view is beautiful, nice music, clean and friendly. The sea food is good and plentyful.
I enjoyed the 2 lb. lobster while my date had the fried scallops, which were huge. We both had to take doggie bags home. It was nice, can't wait to go back.
I had been looking for a place just like this.
Great food, Friendly service, Nice size rooms (not packed in). We had such a great dinner there, that we've added it to our list of places to visit regularly.
I was in the Lobster Box on Saturday August 5, 2006. The place is quite nice, and Rita, our server, was excellent. Great cocktails and clams, but what a disappointment the entree was-----shrimp & scallops with penne and vodka sauce. The seafood was plentiful but VERY over-cooked and the penne was swimming in water because the chef was too lazy to drain it sufficiently. There was no real vodka sauce-----just some clumps of red/pink tomato. No taste--and this is a very easy sauce to make. I would not go back here.
