I recently had a delicious platter of delectable ribs smothered with the famous Johnson s yellow sauce. The collard greens & black-eyed peas/rice was good and filling. This was an extremely satisfying experience, which was finger-licking good!!!
I see they have gone out of business, probably hit with the economy just like everybody else. I just wish they would sell that spicy mustard sauce for ribs they used to have in a ketchup bottle to slather on your ribs. OMG,,,that sauce would smell up the whole neighborhood. I bet they would sell a million bottles easy!
OMG is all i can say i havent been to johnson's since 2007. The food is beyond good!!!! if you like soulfood, pull up on anyone walking & ask them about Johnson's. I brought my daughter shopping in NY back in '07 & both of us have been dying to have a reason to go back to NY just for the Chicken alone. Dont let the appearence fool you. You will enjoy the food. I still cat wait. Thought i was going this year but i couldn't get a ride.
