I was invited to perform for a company the name of victory2multimedia at the China Club in NYC.
I have a long list of emails to the promoter for the company stating the itinerary for my show at the China Club, pricing for the guestlist, approval of flyers to be promoted ect.
I touched base with this company everyday in regards to the websites for which I was promoting my event, and the company even suggested places to go to promote to make the night successful for all parties involved. My promoting was so successful that I even provided the company with a birthdays for VIP, even a Bachelor Party for the evening of my event. My guestlist was way over one hundred people.
Upon arriving to the club I was notified that all my guest were being charged any where from 20 dollars for admittance to $50 at the door to enter the club. To make it worst they threw me on the stage and cut my performance short. Many people missed the performance because they arguing at the door about the admittance fee and because they said I faulsey advertised my event. The company then said they can do what ever they want at the door to my fans because I was under no legal contract with them. I do have many emails that the company sent to me even an email with all the intenerary for the night involving the details for my event.
They potentially ruined my reputation and got over on my guest for the evening by having me advestise false information.
They will also try to tell you to pay at the door to get in because your not dressed properly. Dont do business with them!
I go to the china club all the time. If you want to have the best experience go on Saturday and be on line @ 11:30. I know thats unheard of in NYC but its worth it to get in free (if you're a girl). The best thing about this spot is it has three levels, one of which has a terrace (great for you smokers). I like it here because the music's good and I'm guaranteed to have a good time (most of the time).
I had a birthday bash on May 19th. It was my first and last time at the club. The guards were very rude, the birthday bash isn't really free , you get a $5 bottle of champagne and you must tip the waitress $15 and as soon as you finish your champagne you must leave the table so other people can take it. The wait for the table was 2 hours. The music was not all that they mix rock with spanish and country with r&b. There are definetly better clubs in NY.
The worst experience, by far, I have had in New York. All the six people I interacted with, in reaching the entrance
(that was how far how was able to get to anyway!), were outride RUDE and ABUSIVE (yes it is hard to believe). We got an email saying a free entry if you reach before something something.., which they refuse to honour. They also did not give us the coupons the email claimed we will get. Nobody at the gate was even willing to talk about it. They refused to give our entry fees back although we didnot even cross the gate since we had decided not to even go in.
A really happening hangout spot where you can just enjoy the energy, have fun, dance, eat & drink, and listen to an always great array of music. Awesome atmosphere, cool place to meet people and maybe see a star or two. Check it out...
Its a hot spot to either have a few drinks or to go out and party. I had my birthday party there in September. I had a lot of fun....well the parts I can remember. I recommend this spot to go to. I also want to thank the people there who help me setup my party. My peeps and a blast and brought home some shorties.....LOL
