Virgil's, Manhattan

Virgil's is THE best!!! When walking through Times Square...Virgil's is THE place to go. I ate smoked prime rib there once, washed it down with a bottle of Chimay (belgium beer) and never left a restaurant more stafisfied. For Manhattan...I also feel that they are reasonably priced. Go there once and you'll keep going back. I know where I'll be dining my next trip to NYC!!!!!!!

This place is AWESOME! Like any place you have to know what to order. The BBQ ribs are very good and so is the chicken, but it is the best IN THE WORLD at WINGS!!! These things are Fabulous! They come with a blue cheese dip which is almost as thick as cottage cheese and they have a great selection of beer to have with it. They are NOT Buffalo wings. They are their own self and it is fantastic. The only drawback to going there alone is that I don't have room for an order of wings AND ribs! You can stick your regional garbage where the sun never shines. Good is good, and this place is GREAT!

The Bar-BQ chicken wings at Virgils are the best. Have an order at the bar with a beverage for a quick, cheap, filling, and fantastic meal.

This is literally my favorite place in Manhattan. Its not expensive, its in times square, my fave is the biscuits and gravy, and honestly you cannot leave unhappy. I always bring people here.

to write back to the person that stated that virgil's doesn't 'SMOKE THEIR MEAT' may i say this...wrong!!! they absolutely do smoke their meat in a REAL SMOKER. they've obviously never had real bbq or they would know that by the rings in the meat showing that it has in fact been smoked. virgil's is great and although there are tourists (duh...it's times square), the food is nicely prepared, delicious and the service is worth going back for. hope you enjoy!

Overpriced, tourist trap, hyped-up waste of time!!! :o)

We visited Virgils in Feb 2006 and thought the food was fantastic and sooo much of it!! I can eat but after the awsome starter I had to take most of my dinner back in a doggy bag. We are visiting NYC again in Nov 07 and this place is top of our list. The staff are really great too and you must try a pitcher of beer or two with your meal. Fantastic value for money and just off times square great location enjoy!.

No, no, no and NO! Authentic BBQ? Forget it. Try Blue Smoke or if you are on a budget go for RUB. It was a good place back in the day, not anymore, its a tourist trap with average food and a lot of HYPE. OH I almost forgot.... this is NOT a steakhouse. DUH!

Went to Virgil's to meet new friends from on-line and we all had a ball! The place has some of the more authentic BBQ in NYC. It has charm and has a local flavor despite the fact that it is smack dab in the middle of times Square. The food was excellent and the wait staff was pleasant. The service was fast and efficient.
