August 21, 2011, I had a slice of pizza at this location which was the absolute worst. With a drink the tab was $4.50, a hefty price. The food was dried up, tasteless, had no cheese and the dough was crumby. To add insult to injury, the servers were laughing at the meal. You have the nerve to request a tip! You are a reason NYC stinks.
We found Famiglia by accident and returned 3 more times while in NYC. Awesome pizza. Excellent quality product. Fast service. If I were asked to describe a typical NYC Pizza place, this is it. The servers rushed us through with accidented english, pleases and thank yous. They were not rude; they were serving us pizza fast. Others might say they were rude, but they are not. If you go, take a few minutes to review the line up of pizzas in the window. Try several over a few days. We enjoyed all that we tried.
Amazing pizza.....first time to NYC and this is what I'm talking about authentic pizza.. went back 4 times and I loved it crispy crust gooey cheese, you gotta love and 1 slice is enough!!! Try the lasagna too...will se famiglia next time i'm in new york!!
I agree, Famous Famiglia pizza is the BEST authentic NEw York City pizza. I have enjoyed their pizza thoughout NYC for about 20 years now. If you want a REAL slice of NY pizza served by some really nice people, you must go to Famosu Famiglia pizza!!
My favorite pizza chain in NYC. Maybe I'm easy to please, but the Pizza is always extremely satisfying and the restaurant is conveniently located in the theatre district for play-goers. The free bathroom is helpful also (God knows it can be tough if you are walking places in NY). I enjoy the slices very much and the walls are littered with photographs of people like Bill Clinton enjoying the pizza. It's interesting and a safe choice, since I have no time to investigate the hundreds of singular pizza joints for the best slice when this is convenient and good. Coming across their other locations at other areas in the city while doing other things is also a blessing.
