Good food, nice atmosphere, interesting decor, amazing history, a bit pricey: $20 for lunch.

I finally made it to Sardi's. I don't know if Hemingway, or Fitzgerald or neither wrote about this place but it is worth a visit if you are in the Theatre District. Only having been there for brunch I thought my Eggs Florentine with portobello were about as good as any. It's interesting to see the cartoonist images on the walls but I found the atmosphere quite pleasant otherwise too. Also it's kind of in a perfect spot if you are considering the theatre.

As a woman, dining alone in NYC, I was treated like a queen. I was impressed with the quite modest prices of the entrees and attentiveness of the waiter (Adam). I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed and luxurious dining experience and delicious food. I had the salmon which had a delightful presentation and accompanied by yummy vegetables. When the fellow with the bread offers, take the multi-grain! I highly recommend for both the food and the ambiance.

Not worth the $$$. Food was disappointing and pricey. Only a handful of people in the restaurant and still very slow service. The only famous faces I saw were on the wall.

We love to eat at Sardi's. It is our favorite restaurant in the City. We love the adtmosphere, the food, the service, and the clientele. We look forward to being there Thanksgiving. Pat and Jim Jones 101 Windsor Circle Bluefield, Virginia 24605

A New York Classic, great deal of variety and wonderful food. A fun atmosphere that is perfect following a night on Broadway or just cause! The dinner prefixe was amazing and I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for good food and a good time!

OLD WORLD EXPERIENCE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/21/07
As visitors from UK, my wife and I were looking for a location close to the Broadhurst Theatre ( right opposite) for a pre- theatre dinner and Sardi's looked very appealing. We booked 24 hours in advance and can thoroughly recommend the experience - the concierge was polite and efficient, the food more than met our expectations, the service was exemplary and the ambiance made all the more enjoyable by the couple at the next table who were regulars and gave us the history and local gossip that we would otherwise have been unaware of. As long as you bear in mind that pre-theatre is going to be very busy, and make allowances for it then Sardi's is a delightful old world experience and well worth visiting.

Sardi's Is New York!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/07
First of all, I am really prejudice about Sardi's and in reading some reviews, I just don't understand those that expect greater. I was first at Sardi's about 25 years ago and was fortunate enough to dine there every year or so with a New Yorkish friend. Even though the friend is gone, my recent trip back there was wonderful and very nostalgic. The crab cakes were wonderful and the creme brulee was a nice finishing touch. The service was above standard and considering other NY dining places, the price of drinks and food were within reason. I can hardly wait for my next trip to a New York theatre and Sardi's.

It's worth every minute
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/15/07
Had a post matinee dessert in June of 1958. Now in 2007 I return to a full pre-evening theatre musical and found it just as enjoyable. The hospitality is great from walking in the door to leaving. A real treat. The waiters and waitress were very attentive and nice. They were great with my grandchildren. Would go again if I ever return to NY. A deep South visitor. PS A must when going to NY and hope the Sardi's is still there for my grandchildren to dine with their children and grandchildren.
