Aquamarina is a wonderful little restaurant that sits in a corner in a predomently Dominican neighborhood. The food is very good as well as the service and price. My husband and I tend to opt for going to Aquamarina rather than trek to Midtown to over crowded overpriced restaurants and don't forget the train ride. When looking for a little Italian flavor in the Heights, look no further than Aquamarina.
This restaurant is great is a little cozy with the best ambiance. The food is perfect so good is unbeliveble.. is also zagat rated one of the best in washington heigts neighborhod.. you have to try it!!
The food at Aquamarina is excellent. They have everything on the menu from soups and salads to chicken and beef and seafood to desserts. After sampling most of the menu over time (seafood doesn't agree with me), I can say that you will be very pleased with anything you order. The food is moderately seasoned and the flavor doesn't overpower. I always recommend concluding your meal with Caf Con Leche and Crme Brle these two flavors combine to make an enchanted end to an excellent meal.
Granted Aquamarina is a very small restaurant in the middle of Washington Heights, but it is intimate and romantic. The restaurant is decorated in a blue-themed marine motif, complete with candlelight. The only drawback is that there are so many tables in this tiny space that it can become uncomfortable and claustrophobic.
The staff at Aquamarina is always very friendly and are constantly making certain that customers always have everything they need to enjoy their meals. However, in order to get this service, usually you will have to wait for a while. Aquamarina is seldom busy and there appears to be no reason for the length of time between finishing your meal and getting the check, finishing your appitizers and getting the main course, or even asking for more water and getting it.
The average meal for one person is roughly $15-$20. The portions tend to be on the small side, but the good thing is is that it allows for more room to enjoy dessert.
Aquamarina is a fancy restaurant without paying the fancy price.
I was very pleased when I found this place; they have great food and service. The staff is very friendly and always makes sure that you have what you need. They also have good lunch specials and they deliver. Yo me gusto este lugar!
