The portions were very small. The food was average. The service was excellent. We were given fresh utensils after each of the five courses. It is a nice place to go with a group, or on a romantic date.
We stayed at the mont tremblant resort this summer and were very pleased with the many activities there are for the whole family especially young children. We were a bit concerned that our kids would be bored but they are looking forward to go back next year. Our mont tremblant accommodation was at Star Condo Villa Hotel in the mount tremblant resort of tremblant, quebec, canada. We really enjoyed the tremblant lodging in the village. We have stayed outside the resort area in the past but this was really a fun experience. You might pay a little more to be in the mount tremblant resort but it is well worth it. You park your car for the time you are there and walk around.
It can get a bit expensive going to restaurants every night so a few nights we cooked in the condo.
Check out the mont tremblant resort.
fabulous food and a delightful experience with a tasting menu that was perfection from start to finish.
service was quietly understated but efficient- attentive without hovering or doting
we would go back tomorrow but might need to replenish the piggy bank first!!
Service was fine, milieu also, but the food was tasteless. I can't believe there's anyone French in the kitchen. Tastes as if the kitchen has been outsourced or angled at the sugar-toothed end of the American mass market. There's not a dish withouot some sweet sauce on it. Yuk.
We didn't care for the food there. They used duck liver for foir gras and it was not as creamy as real goose liver supposed to be. Neither the soup or the main course impressed us but they did have big portions and ambiance/service were good.
The food is amazing. Daniel is really doing wonderful job with the ingredients and the interpretation he is giving to old/traditional french cuisine is great. The influence he got in NY with the combination of french pure talent is something you can only feel it after the first taste...
On my first visit (back in 96) we went to lunch because the prices in the evening are (very) high. Later (on 2002/3) we went in the evenings and I think that the atmosphere is worth it.
It is a unique place you want to save for special events!
I am just waiting to be back in NY in order to have the option to visit Daniel :)
This place will make any occasion a special one. We went the day after we were engaged and loved it. Service is spectacular, the food is great the wine list weighs 50 lbs and the space is great. The only thing that should slow anyone down is the price, but that's why you save it for special occasions.
