A destination spot for many years to everyone from Hollywood & Broadway Stars to Hell's Kitchen regulars, all mingling, equally enjoying over 200 martinis, 100 domestic & international beers and a large selection of international wines by the glass. In addition to the numerous beverages choices, we have a varied food menu from our world famous nachos to apricut filos, burgers to chicken in a white wine sauce, ice cream cookie bites to decadent chocolate truffle cake with strawberries. Seating is available at the bar, low & high top tables and a private lounge for large groups. Seasonal garden seating is also available. Our music caters to our patrons wishes with 80's, 90's, classic vinyl, alternative & pop.
The knowledgeable bartenders and servers at this west-side hot spot are quick and friendly. After only a few visits, they remember your name, your drink, and how you like it. Prices are on the high side of normal but definately not expensive and well worth it. Ask your server for a drink recommendation, and find that they are familiar with each of the drinks in the extensive selection of martinis. Everything from the classic martini with your choice of over a dozen vodkas and gins, to their creamy dessert martini specials are truly spectacular. And their food menu isn't anything to shake a drink stirrer at either.
Basically this is the bar that the Broadway crowd doesn't want you to know about, and when I say 'Broadway crowd' I mean the actors, dancers, etc. They all seem to flock here after the shows are over. This place is busrting with energy and laughter, and the ringleader is one of the best bartenders in town. Massive martini list that has all sorts of creations named and invented by some of the celebrity regulars that frequent the place. The food is passable, but its not overly priced (I understand that they just replaced the chef, which should lead to some improvement in this area). The decor is nothing special, but its not bad either. It is clean and well kept and I don't worry about my health when going to the bathroom (a new feeling in a Mid-Town bar!). The drinks are as reasonably priced as any other bar in Manhattan. All in all 41/2 out of 5 stars!
