Renaissance Diner

Description

This Theater District diner attracts young actors who flock here in abundance to talk about the latest auditions or who is making what film. The food is good too. There are three spacious dining areas, including an old-fashioned chrome lunch counter. The smoking area in the rear of Renaissance Diner is actually an enclosed outside deck with a glass roof. You can order anything from a bison burger to a pastrami sandwich, along with onion rings, french fries and other typical diner fare. Beer and wine are served.

My absolute favorite place to eat!! I love this place so much, I would eat there every day. They have a huge selection and I have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is friendly, the food excellent and not expensive. You can sit there for hours after the theatre and not get rushed out the door. They are the best. I would recommend it to anyone, but am hesitant because I don't want to lose my favorite table!

I enjoyed my recent visit. We went for a early dinner and the menu variety is very good. Large selection from burgers, pastas, to generous portioned chicken dishes. Loved the meal. The server was attentive but could have been a bit more friendly but in all it was a great experience. I enjoyed the Chicken Francaise, this dish was delightful and the chicken so tender. My guest had a pasta with chicken in a garlic olive oil with fresh brocolli and roasted tomatoes , great flavor. Definately worth a visit to this very relaxing atmosphere.

This place is a must. I love their breakfast. It can be a little crowded on a Sunday morning but the food is great. The service could stand to be a bit better but with food this good it makes up for it.

9th Ave has a million restaurants to choose one but we decided on this because of their extensive menu. The food was outstanding, reasonable prices and huge portions. The service was just ok, the waiter acted like he couldn't be bothered. The buffalo wings were very good as well as the meat lasagna. Would definately go back when I go to NY again.

This place saved me and my friend. We were visiting in a hotel around the block and we just happened upon it. They had a huge selection with very reasonable prices. They also delivered to our room when we were too tired to venture out.

Accidentally found this restaurant during our last visit to NYC. What a gem! The service was among the best I've ever had, and the food and selection was outstanding.

GREAT MEMORIES

Often after going to evening service at Times Square Church, some of us will drop by Renaissance. It is a great place. Nice ambiance and a wonderful staff.

Grin or Bear It!

I go because it is a 24/7 place near my job. the hostess can be a brainless twit, and nobody calls to repair the front door...so half the front diningroom is a winter wind tunnel each time a new patron enters. i like to start with the fried zucchini, then onto the tortelli in meat sauce, and i finish with coffee(if it can get the 4 feet from the counter without going tepid!!!!!!! however, children will like it, as it is a huggge menu.i just wish they would vary the desserts a bit!!! and wish the kitchen would get a herb/spice chart to perk some items up!!!
