Ruth's Chris Steak House specializes in serving aged USDA Prime steaks, broiled in a trademark 1800-degree oven and served on a plate heated to 500 degrees to ensure the steak stays "sizzling" hot. To experience fine dining at its best ... Just follow the sizzle to Ruth's Chris Steak House!
Had a mouse run on my table....enough said!!! I use to enjoy going to this place, once I had this experience and the way the General Manager Carter handled it....did nothing....I had to stop my tenure there. It all works out for a reason, Capital Grille down the street is a great place....promise!!! And when you order surf and turf, you know it is lobster and steak, and not lobster and rodent.
every bite you take begs for more'
I cant imagine a better steak (strip) could be had anywhere..The place ran like a well oiled machine in every way.I have paid much more for much less. A truly great dining experience.
I ate a Ruth's Chris once in NYC. Had a reservation, waited an hour for a table and when I questioned it, was basically told if I didnt want to wait, the door was over there. I am a native New Yorker, not an out of towner, never heard that in my life. When we did sit down, the service was more like they were doing us a favor. The food was ordinary, except for the price.
You would have to be an idiot to go back to this place with all of the truly great eateries in NYC
The NY SIRLION was amazing, wine list fantastic, service could be improved, my girlfriend set up reservation for my Birthday and she had arranged for a birthday cake after our meal but they totally forgot about it and gave us the check, not wanting to be embarrassed we left the place without my cake and Birthday song as promised, great food but service for this wonderful restaurant missed this one badly.
Don't get me wrong, their steaks are great but Ruth's Chris is a chain so you can do better while in Manhattan. You definitely need to try a RC steak at some point in your life but I would do it when I'm stuck in a place with fewer top notch restaurants to choose from.
I have been to almost all the steak houses in New York, and Ruth's Chris is by far the best. Not only is the steak delicious, but the service was impeccable. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, though we were there for our first time, we felt like regulars. From the smiling gracious hosts that greeted us, to the knowledgeable and helpful service staff, we were well taken care of from start to finish. If you are looking for a good meal with a warm and gracious staff then I highly recommend Ruths Chris Steak House. I also found out that they offer an incredible pre fixe lunch that I will defiantly be taking advantage of.
Saturday nite--no reservation 8pm--short wait at the bar. We were seated in the bar which was not our choice but we made due.
The meal however made up for the table selection. Everything done to perfection----I am still savoring the taste of the best steak (ribeye) I have ever had. $122.00 for 2 without drinks. Expensive--but when the food is good---you pay for the food and tip for great service. I recommend the experience!
