Description

This Hell's Kitchen French bistro has been around a long time, providing consistently good food for reasonable prices. Tout Va Bien is frequently crowded just prior to a performance, but an experienced and friendly staff will see to it that you do not miss your show or rush your meal. Everything is red and white, right down to the checkered tablecloths. Salmon, chateaubriand and the steak au poivre are very popular. Prix fixe and children's menus are available, and such traditional French desserts as creme brulee are delicious. Check website for details.

This place has been here forever. Great food ! Not a five star dish but if you want a good meal and great ambiance this is an awesome place ! Great place for a date pre theater . The owner jean Pierre is a really nice guy.

This is the best French bistro in New York!!! I love this place so much and the inside makes you feel so warm inside! The Creme brulee is amazing, and also try the roast duck! I love their steak frites and also the charcuterie! Try this place and you will be coming back again and again!

I had not been able to get to Tout Va Bien during my last few visits to NY but got to go there this weekend and had a wonderful meal. My filet was fantastic and perfectly cooked. My husband raved about the veal. We had to settle for a glass of wine instead of a bottle because we were pressed for time. They did everything to make sure we left on time to leg it up to 125th street to see Paul Weller; we arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 and were in our concert seats by 8:45. It doesn't get better than that!!!

We love this place! It has a warm welcoming feeling and great service and food. Everyone there makes you feel like family.

We've been going here for 15 years. It's part of our routine, like Strawberry Fields and Zabars when visiting NYC from Dallas. Steak Frites and Creme Brulee!

My parent's met there in the 50's and it has been a family tradition ever since! Awesome food just like my tata would make!

Haven on earth!

Its a French food haven with down to earth flare. It is almost a hole in the wall type of restaurant with a homey feeling. The atmosphere is so relaxed, laid back with homemade goodness food. The owners and staff are very warm and accomodating. Bar is extensive and wine list is great. I haven't had an unpleasant experience here and everything I have tried on the menu or on the board - from soups to entrees and all the way to desserts - have always been superb!

Wonderful Bistro

Very comforatble and homey with great bistro food- A new york classic! The waiters are all authentic- They remember you from each time you visit- and you will return over and over. They always end the meal with a free aperatif as well. My favorite meal there is the classic duck a l'orange. You will not be diasappointed!

If it was so bad why do we keep going back?

To read the two negative, of 21, reviews you'd wonder where they ate. Perhaps things are different in the Baka Valley in Lebanon (not exactly mainstream bistro territory). After taking five friends there, over a years time, they all want to join us when we eat there. If you can't take a real hectic Mom and Pop bistro ambiance try Olive Garden. K Walsh Stamford CT
