Best food in NYC

I have been going to Nanni for 16 years. It is absolutely the most delicious Italian food in New York. Not cheap but well worth it. It's small so it can get a little loud when the tables are full. Th decor is simple but you are there for the food!!! The Nanni pasta is outstanding as is the milanesa and don't forget the sauted escarole. Italian waiters are charming.

I will dream about the food.

Very authentic food, warm, friendly staff. The bread was delicious, food served hot and very tasty. Very easy to over eat and we had no room for dessert! The Chianti was special. If I lived and worked nearby, this would be an everyday lunch for me. A must stop for the New York visitor, go for lunch unless you have reservations for dinner.

This was the best meal we had in a recent trip to New York. Food and service were great. A little pricey, but it's New York and everything is.

Delicious softshell crabs !

Had lunch at Nanni's back in May 2006, ordered the softshells and they were DELICIOUS. The pastas & veal dishes are fantastic and this place has the best Tiramisu in town, you must save room for it!

Great Italian Food - Service is # 1 - Excellent taste - and you can go next door have a great drink - in one word the best in the City . Call Victor is the guy - The Best .

The other reviews are accurate.This is a no nonsense Italian food with a sense of humor. The waiters are in their 70's and have been working there on average 20+ years. THey have personality and passion.Everything is good. If the waiter makes a suggestion go with it unless it is a food you really don

Fantastic, you can't beat the food or service. Ask for the chesse board upon arrival, it is not on the menu, you will never forget that one!
