Bad Place for Date Night Argument
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/9/07
Came here in about August of 1983 and will never come back. Probably more my problem than that of the restaurant but it would've been a lot less uncomfortable for me and the couples in close proximity if the restaurant didn't crowd us diners in like cattle. It's pretty awkward getting hollered at across the small table when the other diners are about 2 feet away. I don't recall ever getting to eat any of the expensive chateaubriand for two that we'd ordered (pre-fight) although I do admit it looked pretty good. When she finally got up and stalked out the door of the restaurant the waiter was most courteous in advising me that although she had exited the premises she remained standing outside on the sidewalk. Unfortunately this proved to be the limit of his usefulness as he steadfastly refused my request to go outside and tell her I had somehow left the establishment and he also would not escort me to the back door where I might leave via the alley. It was an awful night, I spent a lot of money, and when I finally left (thru the front door) she was still there and the agony I experienced over the next few hours was simply too horrible to relate, and probably not appropriate for this forum anyway.
