Other than the fact it's open 24/7 the place is just alright. I guess at 2am their food looks and tastes better than it really is. I go there late night after concerts/events in NYC.

A well kepted secret........
By Robert S, 10/2/05
You would never guess, that a chinese restaurant located at the bottom of some stairs would house some of the best chinese food in the city, for such cheap prices. Open all night Wo hop is the place to go after a night out on the town and fast food just won't do. The food is always fresh becuase of such a large turn over of customers and the portion are always plenty. The waiters have been around for ever and your always greeted like you been coming there for that long . This surely is the place to visit, if your an out of towner and you can even take a piece of Wo hop with you, by sporting one of there t-shirt that Wo hop proudly sells. Once you've tried Wo hop I'm sure you'll get hooked. A loyal customer.....

i really liked this place when i went for the first time. We had lunch then and the service was quick and very good. The food was GREAT! Then, the second time we went, about 5 months later, we went for dinner. There was a line, but we decided to wait. We got to the head of the line, but people kept coming in and they kept seatong them before us! This kept happening, they all knew the workers, so they sat them first! We left after waiting for quite some time. We were very disappointed.

The best Chinese food in NYC, hands down!
By Ruby, 8/24/05
If you're looking for authentic, delicious and inexpensive Chinese food anytime of day or night, then look no further than Wo Hop. It's on the basement level and the walls are littered with autographed head shots of actors you've never seen, but the food is outstanding. I always order extra and take the leftovers home, it's that good. Everything tastes so fresh. You can tell the dumplings weren't made last year and thrown in a freezer. They just melt in your mouth. The people who work there are lively and funny and will engage you in conversation. They are also very informative and don't look at you like your stupid if you ask what something on the menu is. Truly, the place defies words. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Chinese Anyone?
By VinnyD, 9/26/05
Originally from NY, now living in PA, whenever i'm really in the mood for Chinese, I rather take the drive to Wo Hop, then to eat it out here. This is how the food is supposed to be made, not at the 9th Ave Noodle Shop, which was one of the biggest disappoinments ever. Their Shrimp with Lobster sauce is the best i've ever had. Spareribs are meaty and juicy. Portions are Enormous! Basically everything is delicious, even down to their hot tea. and the warmed fortune cookies really bring an end to the meal. After eating @ Wo Hop, i cant have chinese anywhere else for at least a month
