The unassuming exterior except for the hanging meat and typical Chinatown decor at Big Wong hardly prepares visitors for the carnivorous feast awaiting inside. Here you will find arguably the best barbecue meats in area, including sumptuous roast duck and pork. There is also wonton soup like you never had it before, as well as traditional congee (porridge), which can be eaten alone or with beef, chicken and other toppings. It is often crowded, but service is quick as long as you are assertive.
We frequent Big Wong and take out from the restaurant every time we are close by. Wonton soup, Gongee, Duck and Rib are all 5 star. But do not you think it is time for this restaurant to update its deco?
I've always ate at this restaurant almost my whole life and I really like it! The food is inexpensive and good! When we don't feel like eating bread or those fancy foods or we're in a rush, we go to Big Wong. I love eating the roast duck and steamed noodles!
Dai Wong (Big Wong) is one of my favorite restaurants! I go every time I'm in Chinatown. It has amazing soup noodles and rice dishes. The people there are as friendly as they can be given their high rate of business. Despite the crowded atmosphere, it's well-worth the wait to get a bite to eat there especially since the prices are so reasonable as well.
