Fat Black Pussycat
Welcome to FBPC ( a Fat Black Pussycat ) , a New York bar that has everything... Our front room (formerly the Kettle of Fish) maintains its historic roots to old NY's Greenwich Village. A gallery of Village faces, in photographs and paintings line the walls, documenting the bar's history since the 1950's. The back room, hidden behind the curtain is a spectacular lounge. Oriental rugs, Moroccan lanterns and the remnants of the buildings original 1880's windows (now bricked) set the tone. The music - choice selections from the greatest artists of Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and the entire world - set the backdrop. And, if there's ever a "best lounge seating" competition, this place will win. Antique couches, a full-on throne, and other plush places to plant yourself fill the large space, forming a variety of cozy conversation pits. This is the last thing you'd expect to find on one of the most tourist visited streets in the Village. Our downstairs sister club "The Village Underground" is an exciting, and utterly unique spot. Designed by ICRAVE (of Pangaea fame) this 2,800 square foot venue incorporates a loungy atmosphere with high energy dancing and live Music. The Underground offers its customers excellent bottle or cocktail service. This beautiful hot spot is perfect for special events, private parties, corporate functions, drinks with friends or any occasion. All this with some of the best 10 ounce Martinis in the city, and you can see why CitySearch chose us as one the top 10 bars in New York. We all will make sure our customers have a good time and are happy. If you want to set up a table for you and your friends go to http://thefatblackpussycat.com/party-inquiry/ or text us at firstname.lastname@example.org We are located in Greenwich Village (between Mac Dougal St & Avenue Of The Americas) Subway: A C E F V or S to W. 4th Street Station. Exit on W. 3rd Street side - we're right across the street.
nice spot...went there last night with a few friends and wifey...just need to play some spanish music and its all good 2 go...other than that the crowd is good and the atmosphere is great...da drinks are @ good prices as well...will be back again some time...
Atmosphere is wonderful...Art, mirrors, decorative furniture...3 different rooms...If you want to eat, then sit on a couch with a drink, then party you can do all 3 in the same place. It does get crowded at times so it is best to go early, if you want to hit all 3 without being frustrated with the crowd if you are not a crowd person...
I enjoyed every minute I spent there. The atmosphere was great and the drinks were on point. I really don't get to go out much, but I am definitely going back. I met some cool and interesting people there and I hope to see them there again soon.
Entering into to the Lounge Its was a nice vibe. I had so mush fun i dance all night and i drink all night. I feel so free when i go there. You could hang there with your friends. The ALCOHOL its not expensive at all. The music is very good and they play all kind of music from reggeaton to r&b. Its very protective.
As many of you know drinking in NYC is no easy feat. That is why I love the Fat Black Pussy Cat not only a cool name but inexpensive drinks. This is one bar that you do not have to wait for happy hour to go to. The truth is the price for drinks is around 6-8 any time happy hour prices are cheaper than that. The music is a mix from 80s to hardrock which if fine with me.
Manhattan Hall is crowded and not particularly attractive. Nevertheless, many New Yorkers come here to buy their clothes and gifts,
ignoring other malls in the city. That is because Manhattan Mall is near so many popular stores like Toys ...
