Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002. Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine. We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004. Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs. Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.
We LOVED this place! We asked our Concierge for a good recommendation, and they sent us to Crispo. Very chic, quaint atmosphere, and very warm and welcoming service. And, GREAT food. A favorite of our entire trip to NYC.
My girlfriend and I lived close to Crispo and found ourselves there repeatedly weekend after weekend. The staff is friendly, drinks are strong and the food is delicious! The spaghetti carbonara and the flank steak are my faves. For dessert, the creme brulee can't be beat.
One warning - it's popular and can get pretty loud as it's close to the Meatpacking District. Go around 6:30 to avoid the crowds. You won't be disappointed!
The food there was amazing - extremely authentic and delicious. I took my best friend there for her 21st birthday and we really enjoyed our time. The ambiance left a little to be desired, the place was incredibly crowded with tables jammed in together, and the guys at the next table seeming to listen in to our entire conversation. Quite loud as well. The service was awesome, they were very helpful, and pleasant. Pricing was a little high.
