Il Mulino - New York, New York

If you cant get reservations just travel to Puerto Rico. There you are going to experience the same food quality and five star service, whit the best staff in the island. they get you started whit bruschetta and mussel, nice chunk of regiano parmesan from the big pice of cheese, zuchini and breads. THey have an extense list of wines, italians and americans, from opus one to Gaja. Nice homemade pastas and freshly tableside deboned fish. And to settle down food they offer a homemade grappa as complements. The travel to il mulino ny at the ritz in PR was worthed every cent.

We go to New York every year in November for the hotel/ motel / restaurant show from Pennsylvania,last year we didn't make Il Mulino my wife picked other restaurants. The other places were good but my favorite is still Il Mulino and i will never miss it again.

This is the best Italian Restaurant that I have had a pleasure of going to. The food is esquisite and made fresh as you wait. It is very hard to get a reservation here so you have to do it in advance and it is pricey, but the service, the waiters, the maitre'd and the chef are superb!!!

Il Mulino is quite good. They bombard you with cheeses and bread and tomatoes and olive oil as soon as you sit down with the most professional service around. I hasd the truffle ravioli and the Italian sea bass and a side of seafood risotto with a tiraisu for dessert and cappaccino -- and I was transplanted to food heaven, it was so good. My husband and another couple shared a bottle of cabernet sauvignon which is one of the best ever. For four it was close to $700.00 so be prepared to pay for oone of the best Italian meals you'll ever have in your life.

Dislikes - None, this restaurant offers everything and more. Il Molino reminds me so much of dinner at grandmas and moms I get choked up thinking about it. The food, service, ambiance and value are all top of the line. I enjoy the atmosphere as well, you feel at home yet are treated with dignity and class. The choice of wines and food is in such variety you can go back 7 days a week, drink and eat something different all 7 days. Variety is the spice of life , just like my grandma and mom said, and variety in wine and food is so much a part of making their statement true. II Molino to die for.

It's worth the work you have to go through to get a reservation! I dream about the food at Il Mulino, especially the pasta!

Fast service but waiters are knowledgeable...a lot of food before you even order. Food is amazing - something to try at least once in your life.

Food was amazing, and service was amazing. It is very hard to get the reservation, but call during the morning hours, and couple weeks to a month advance; Also quiet $$$ but very worth it. I can not wait to go back!
