Description

The year is 1936 and Carl and Grace Wetanson open a "Grace's Hot Dog Restaurant" that began a four generation family-run restaurant operation. The historic "Wetson's Hamburger" icon chain grew in the 1960's to almost 100 units dotting the landscape of New York City and surrounding areas. The 1980's brought Dallas BBQ and the 1990's brought Tony's DiNapoli to the New York City restaurant scene.

HORRIBLE, JUST HORRIBLE! I went there last Friday night after work because for some reason I was craving something from BBQ's. I told my co worker lets go to the one on 42nd street but he insist that we go to the one in the Village, in which I have never been to before. Upon arrival, my friends and I seen that it was busy and thought on a Thursday night, due to the crowd the food must be fresh to take out. My friend placed his order and in less than three minutes received it; I said to myself how could the food be fresh if it was prepared so fast. Then we waited another 15 for my order after the cashier heard me question why my friend received his food so fast. After I received my order, I took it home and was ready to eat such a delicious meal. When I opened my bag and looked at my food I was absolutely disgusted! To my amazement my honey BBQ, half a chicken had a blue coloring on it. At first I said maybe its a little burnt, but when I examined the chicken a bit more I realized that it was old and someone must have just thrown the honey bbq on an old piece of chicken and packaged it to go. I vow to NEVER return to this location and to always go to the one on 42nd street. Someone such as myself who works in the food industry knows that selling customers old food is not only wrong but also is a violation from the health department. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy!!!

Excellent value, friendly atmosphere. We had a large party and they did their best to seat us promptly. This restaurant is kid friendly. Ribs were excellent and service was friendly.

I love Dallas BBQ, but when I went there on a Tuesday latenight, I was disgusted by how dirty the restrooms, floors and tables were.

This is my favorite BBQ's to go to. I must say the Turkey Burgers are real good, and fulling, and for the price including fries in a sit in restaurant, can't make any complaints about it. I had love me the Wild Berry Pina Colada. Very fruity and just enough alcohol in it. Not too little, not too much. The price for the regular size, can't complain. There are other restaurants in NYC that may charge twice as much for the drink. Also one thing: make sure you look at your bill before you pay for your food. Reason being is that on the advertisment on the table the paper says one price, and then the receipt may say another price. I had ordered a turkey burger with cheese advertised for $8.99, and the bill said $9.99 on it. Same thing happened with my cousin's order as well. I brought it to my waiters attention, and they changed the price (better have). Even though it was a $2 difference, I expected to pay for my food based on the price that was advertised. I will still go to BBQ's in Chelsea.

This is a must eat restaurant when visiting New York City. The food is Delicious, the drinks are amazing and the prices a very reasonable. The service is great. I have very little complaints. However, I must warn you if you are wanted an intimate dinner with a love one, this is NOT the place to go. The atmosphere is upbeat and loud, but I would recommend it to anyone. Families included

HUGE, TASTY DRINKS!
By ,
I love going to this place. I've been there so many times that I've lost count. The food is always good. I've never had any problems. I normally go here for those famous Texas-size drinks I love so much! The only downside to this place is that it can get extremely crowded (never had to wait too long for a seat) and that may cause it to get noisey but overall, it's worth going back to. :)

Everything is bigger in TX

BBQ's has Texas size drinks...they are humungous! The frozen apple martinis are the best. Chicken, Cornbread and sides are good. The BBQ ribs I had were cooked hard...not appetizing. Overall, the staff is helpful and friendly...and I really recommend the drinks!

First and last time dining here
By ,
If you want to dine here, I hope you are ready to feel like they want to kick you out after finishing your plate. Busboys are anxiusly awaiting to take your plates and the floor sweeper stands next to your tabel waiting for you to get up. The recommend a 15% gratuity on the bill and put a sticker on the bill. That is very tacky. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
