Eleven Madison Park
For both lunch and dinner, Eleven Madison Park offers a Tasting Menu for $195. Eleven Madison Park is located in a landmark art deco building with soaring 35-foot ceilings and a view of Madison Square Park. We offer an intimate bar featuring 35 wines by the glass as well as seasonal classic and proprietary cocktails. The second floor private dining rooms also feature views of Madison Square Park.
The food and service are amazing. If you're a wine fan, but you don't know wines by vinyard or region, ask questions. The staff is knowledgeable and I've enjoyed every suggestion they've made.
Update: The menu and the head chef have changed. They're now a Prix Fix menu ONLY. The food is largely the same, but the structure of the menu and, most noticibly, the serving sizes have changed. The changes were enough to notice. While I'll still count this as one of my faves, the move towards a fixed menu and shrinking serving sizes smacks of cheapness. There were items on the tasting menu that I had to ask if I could order as a part of the Prix Fix, etc. My lamb chop meal came with a single lamb chop. The chocolate souffle used to be a two person affair, but is now a mini one person serving.
This all being said, still a place I would recommend. I just don't think I can justify keeping this as our regular favorite for Valentines Day, anniversaries, etc.
