Caravan of Dreams Restaurant, Manhattan

This place has food that is reminiscent of my college days, artist's scene, and coop cooking from Ithaca, NY. Portobello caps were my vegan mainstay here. Treasured.

Caravan of Dreams is a vegans paradise. The food is unique, there are daily specials and you can eat tasty cuisine! The atmosphere is welcoming and the decor has middle eastern touches. The live music is the final topper to a wonderful vegan's dream restaurant. P.S. Try the live food!

And no one cares. The food has become more mediocre over time and the service has gone from lackluster to hostile. You can knit a sweater in the amount of time it take to get the check.

Every time we come to New York we try to fit in at least one meal here. It is simple yummy food with great choices for Vegetarians or Vegans, without being expensive.

Caravan of dreams was a singular experience. The food was great. The Classic Nachoes are fantastic. It is a kosher vegan dream. I am not a vegetarian but I really liked everything we had. Not a good place for a mixed group containing meat eaters but if you find yourself there youare probably open minded about your food anyway. The portions were generous and the staff helpful. Incidentally it was nice to have live dinner music that didn't impede conversation. In a word it was fun.
