One of America's most popular restaurants, Gramercy Tavern serves inventive American cuisine from Chef Michael Anthony in a rustic yet elegant setting. In the Main Dining Room, we offer prix-fixe menus starting at $88 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch service. Reservations are accepted in the Main Dining Room, not for the Tavern area. In the more rustic Tavern area, the a la carte menu is prepared on a wood burning stove and reservations are not accepted, as it is "first come, first served". Gramercy Tavern's superb staff will envelop you with warm hospitality and delight you with an extraordinary selection of wines.

One of my favorite Danny Meyers restaurants, the food and service are beyond excellent and we are always made to feel like we're celebrating a special occasion.

An interesting mix of hits and misses in our tasting menu dinner. Some dishes were imaginative and vibrant while others were just a little flat and uninspiring. The front bar is great for pre-dinner drinks and seems like a good option for a livelier atmosphere.

Tavern area review: The food is not elegant, but tasty, about what you might expect for the informal part of the restaurant. It's noisy (as expected from a bar), but the service was superb. The wait staff offered to take an item off the bill, when it appeared that a member of our party had not completely consumed the item. We had to beg with them to leave the item on the tab. We still ended up with a complimentary dessert.

Perfection in every way!!! Attentive staff who served the food and wine without disturbing our flow of conversation. The food was prepared and presented skillfully. Whether you eat in the casual front or have a more formal dinner in the dinning room, you will not be disappointed. I just wish I could cook as well as this chef!
