Union Square Cafe, Manhattan

Superb lamb chops that literally cut like butter but the rest of the meal was rather pedestrian. Wine by the glass averaging $18 was rather steep and one assumes they count on the tourist trade such as ourselves to chalk that up to the cost of traveling. Desserts were superb. The cost listed above at $69 must not have included anything to drink. Very misleading.

Excellent service and atmosphere. The food was great. We ordered the grilled lamb chops and the maccheroni ruvidi with romano beans, pesto and ricotta salata. Both dishes were excellent. The warm garlic potato chips were o.k. The restaurant was nice and quiet also for a Friday night.

Eat here every time in NY. The Pork Chop is a huge portion and outstanding. The help was good as usual and the bar nuts are to die for.

Extraordinary carpacchio!!! Orderd the stake and left me wondering what had happened, I guess you eat stake @ stakehoses, my wifes gnoquis were fantastic. Grate experienace very good service its a must when in NY.
