I don't know what the fuss is about...I lived in NYC for 15 years, yesterday was my first time at Katz's Deli, and it was my LAST!!!
I didn't like the service (they have some rude people working there) and the food is NOT that great!!!! Very disappointed!
Katz's Deli was on my list of restaurants to eat at while in NYC in October 2008 and definitely remains on my list when I go again. Was my first time but never will be my last. The half sour pickles are to die for. Got Reuben with corned beef, will have to get pastrami next time. If I could I would give them ten stars but they definitely deserve five.
every time I visit Manhattan, I will make at least 1 trip to Katz for a pastrami sandwich. It's the absolute BEST!!!!!
Tip your sandwich maker, and he'll load up your sandwich w/ so much pastrami you won't be able to finish your sandwich =)
Believe it or not - I drive from Delaware to get a Corned Beef sandwich from this place. The bathroom accomodations could use improvement - on the real.. however, you can't beat the sandwiches. Take plenty of money..
