Golden Unicorn Restaurant
This longtime Chinatown restaurant is tremendously popular due to its reputation for excellent steamed dimsum. Despite being on two floors, it is constantly packed, especially on weekends and a long wait for a table is not unusual. However, patience will be rewarded. For the more adventurous, there are seafood dishes such as braised shark fin soup and for everyone else, the dim sum will do just fine.

dim sum was good, but that is about it. We ordered orange beef and when it came out, it looked horrible. The texture was not right. It did not have any taste to it at all.
Also, the service was bad. We had to ask for water several times. Also, the manager did not speak any English. Sure it chinatown but is it too much to ask for courtesy in service. The concierge at the Crowne Plaza recommended this place. I will be call him up to advise of our experience. I had heard New York chinese food was different than Chicago's. In Chicago, its pretty good.
Service was pretty good, even when the restaurant was pack of people. Yes this place was very noisy, but they serve very decent Dim Sum. One of the better restaurant I tried in New York and would recommend to my friends.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant, it was very noisy. Plates/portions were small and pricey, tossed at the table cafeteria style. I would not go there again, the dim sum was only fair. I found a small place with fantastic food right around the corner @ 21 Mott Street, it's the real deal, and dim sum to die for!!!
