I used to eat at Mugs back in the 90's. They always were packed and had great food. Went there tonight. They had the same exact menu, but the food was horrible. They actually ran out of Pepsi so I couldn't even get a cola drink.
I've been going to Mugs' for about 2 years now. It's a great place for young and old. The food is very tasty and not highly priced. The wings are out of this world! The bar is seperate from the resturant which is very nice. I've been to Mugs' for a few Karoke nights. It's perfect for ages 21 to 91. Mugs' over all is a great place for all. Give yourself a treat some time and check it out.
Honestly not one to write reviews, and I think the people that do are normally the people that aren't satisified, or are just having a bad day, but I did a quick search for Mug's phone number before leaving work today, and noticed the previous review...and it ticked me off a bit. I've been going to Mugs for about 7 years, ever since I discovered it while my son was taking Guitar lessons next door. Well my son stopped taking lessons a long time ago, but my family won't let me stop going for take-out. I have honestly never had a bad meal here, and that says a lot considering how many meals we've eaten here. My kids LOVE the Mexican food, I think the corned beef or pastrami sandwiches are the best in the area, and the whole family agrees that you can't get better wings ANYWHERE in the area. In fact my daughter is 22 and spends time at BWW on Route 22, but when its time for a party in my house, from Super Bowl, to B-Days...the kids always remind me to get Mugs' Wings. This is a Great Local neighboorhood establishment ....if you're looking for Char, then maybe that's a different story. My daughter also recently told me that it's also a Great Place for Kareoke...I wouldn't know that though, as my wife doesnt let me out at those hours....all I can say is try it for yourself, I don't think you'll be dissapointed.
Mugs Pub is a below average bar. There is nothing fancy about the decore which borders on shaby. The drink seemed a bit high priced also. The bar with about 14 seats was in a separate room from the dinning room.
I love this place and go here often! The menu has a wide mix for whatever your in the mood for. Portions are huge and tasty! Service is always friendly and it has a small town feel. Kind of like a Cheers. If your in the area, give it a try!
I enjoyed visiting this restaraunt. When you enter, you feel at first as if you are in a local gathering place, and the service makes you feel welcome. The menu has a variety of offerings, from sandwiches to burgers, to a great Mexican section
