12/26/11 got to desk and was given a pager and told 20 minutes? Parking lot empty. After waiting past the time went up to desk and was told they are short staffed? Why did they not tell me when I came in. After a 35 minute wait asked again and after 40 minutes was guided to a table where NO ONE came to take our drink order the waitress walked by without looking at us. 3 people that had gone in 15 minutes before us did not have their drink order or silverware? The table next to us they were finished eating and the waitress gave them a second round of drinks? We didn't even order ours yet. We so far wasted an hour in a mostly empty restaurant and NO SERVICE. The so called manager who seated us apologized to us but it went downhill after that. We will not go back. We live by the Pa border and favor the RL in Pa, we will in the future go there. Instead of being honest with people they kept telling each party that came in the same thing but increased their wait time to a half hour or 35 minutes. We are good tippers so it is their loss. After this bad experience I will post where ever I can find a post to let people know not to go to the Bridgewater NJ Rest. Shame on the staff, shame on the waitress, shame on the manager for all doing such a poor job in handling the situation. ALSO, I WONDER IF THE CHEF SHOWED UP? Never again there are so many other places to go. The Blue Fish Grill in Flemington is good, not fancy but they are moving to a new location in Feb., the owners were trained under Wolfgang Puck, you will get a good meal and good service there. Shop around people there are better places,,,If I could give this place a 0 star I would
Just had a Saturday night dinner in May 2010, and if you want to load up on the saturated fat this is the place is for you. I had one of the seafood combination dishes, with lobster tail, shrimp, crab legs, breaded shrimp, and baked potato. The shrimp were swimming in butter, and almost unedible. The breaded shrimp were greasy and hard to swallow. I enjoyed the lobster tail, but there was hardly anything to eat; same with the crab legs. Not a lemon in sight, but I was blessed with about 5 capsules of butter and sour cream in case I wanted a heart attack right on site. All this for $26! I got the feeling the restaurant was skimping on costs, while still charging a fortune. My wife was also disappointed with her shrimp pasta dishes, and my daughter's mac and cheese looked awful, with a dark, coagulated cheese crust, but she enjoyed it. Try Legal Seafood or Fishbone for far better chain seafood fare.
food terrible...saturated in fat and butter...biscuits tasted terrible...female manager annoying...small bar...bad drinks...will never go back...chain/corporate food needs to be thrown away, not eaten...very expensive..save your money and go to a real, homemade food restaurant
